Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

 Studies specifications and procedures for construction on basis of starting and

completion times, staffing requirements and job costing per job estimate for each

phase of construction.

 Before the project begins, the employee will meet with the Estimator, Project

Manager, Safety Manager, and the Contracts Administrator to develop a working

knowledge of the job cost spread. The task will be to develop the phases into a

logical form that will best suit the development of timecards and daily quantity reports

and ensure access to data at a future date for historical information.

 Schedules delivery of tools, equipment, manpower and materials to be delivered at

specified times to conform to work schedules.

 Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in executing work,

interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to

prevent delays.

 Confers with Field Operations Manager and employees to resolve complaints and

grievances within work force.

 Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications

(Quality Control) and the adherence to construction schedules for our crews and

subcontractors.

 Initiates, tracks and supplies reports on progress, materials used and costs, adjusts

work schedules as indicated by reports (job costing, quantities completion reports,

etc.), and maintains a detailed daily log.

 Reports quantities of materials installed daily to the Project Manager and or

Contracts Administrator.

 Verifies accuracy of timecards including hours worked, equipment used and that all

has been coded to the appropriate phase and that the employees have initialed

them.

 Takes responsibility for safety of’ crew and the crews’ adherence to policies including

daily toolbox safety meetings and documents content.

 Schedules for appropriate inspections and testing necessary for the timely

completion of the project.

carpentry and vertical building.

• Documents all maintenance performed on each piece of equipment, small tool or vehicle.
• Assists with purchasing of inventory and parts, tools and supplies for maintenance department.
• This individual may have the responsibility for assisting with the operation of the specialized paving equipment and must monitor and adjust the ground controls on the machine.
• Takes responsibility for following safety policies and procedures while performing tasks.
• Schedules appropriate inspections and testing necessary for the monitoring of equipment.
• Participates in training classes as scheduled.
• Ensures that the shop is kept clean and complies with OSHA regulations for storage of chemicals and other safety measures.
• Makes repairs to equipment and vehicles either on jobsites or at the shop.
• Coordinates with Field Operations Manager when moving or taking equipment out of service for repairs.

Job Description:

S&S Builders is looking to hire an experienced mechanic. A Mechanic is primarily responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment in an efficient manner. They work with the Maintenance Manager to perform the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles. They may be asked to assist in the development of the company maintenance procedures and processes for repair and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles for their location. This person is responsible for being cost-conscious and efficient with company supplies and purchases of parts. Opening is a full-time position with benefits. Concrete Finisher Responsibilities:

• Setting forms.
• Cleaning, preparing and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
• Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed.     This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
• Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
• Applying sealing and hardening components.
• Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted.
• Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
• Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine.

Concrete Finisher Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 3 years work experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
• Ability to kneel for long periods.
• Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.
• Able to travel, work shifts or at night and on public holidays as required.

·        Performing minor framing, siding installation, drywall repairs, and finishing tasks.

·        Erecting, leveling, and installing, building trussesand other framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes.

·        Installing, inspecting and utilizing scaffolding,utilizing manlifts and proper safety mechanisms at height.

·        Collaborating with crew members, architects,engineers, owners, and other construction professionals.

·        Ensuring adherence to safety and compliancecodes.

·        Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

· Safety minded individual. Needs to be able to come prepared for the days tasks with the proper PPE and a safety mindset.

· Attendance and reporting to work on time are essential functions to keep the jobsite workflow on time.

· Employees are required to know the company's policies, rules and regulations found in the Personnel Manual and always abide by them. These are provided and reviewed upon new hire.

· Needs to have a basic knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
